In case you haven’t heard, We’re having a party!

WHAT: A party/picnic/open house to celebrate one year at Food Loves Writing!
(It all started August 4, 2008. Click here to read the very first post!)

WHEN: 7 PM to 8:30 PM, Saturday, August 8

WHERE: Gilbert Pavilion, Gilbert Park, Downers Grove, IL
1500 Gilbert Avenue, about a mile from the Downers Grove Metra

SPONSORS: We’re having giveaways! We’re having fun food!

Andrews McMeel will be donating three cookbooks: Art & Soul of Baking (which I own and LOVE), Organic Marin and Things Cooks Love.
Sugar Magnolia Pastries of Evanston, IL, will be donating gift certificates, as well as bringing pastries!
Country Bob’s is providing a free bottle of their all-purpose sauce for each household represented at the party, as well as an opportunity to win one of two gift packs!
Downers Grove Wine Shop is donating bottles we’re planning to fill with ice water and mint lemonade!
Also on the menu will be biscotti, cake, sugar cookies to decorate and many more items yet to be determined!
