Q & A Post: Because You Asked…

…Tim and I sat outside in the beautiful October sunlight on Wednesday and made you a quick little (five-minute) video. In it, we tell you a little bit more about our daily lives, never explain where we are or why there’s a spread of food before us while we do (it was a picnic! and Tim was shooting another video for his day job!) as well as, spoiler alert!, make an exciting announcement about something big coming to the blog soon. (!!!!)

Here’s hoping you’re somewhere where it’s OK to turn the volume on because, with that, here goes nothing!

A few notes:

  • Turns out making you guys a Q & A video wasn’t just about teaching you a few things; in fact, through the process we ourselves learned that (a) I furrow my brow constantly when I talk (b) something about being video-taped makes you prone to leaning forward and (c) turns out my college professor was right: one of us has a very soft voice (and it’s not Tim). Noted!
  • Also, as mentioned above, we did indeed have a picnic lunch the day of the video—and, bonus fact, at the park where we got engaged!–kale salad (ribbons of kale tossed with pine nuts, pomegranate arils, grape tomatoes, lemon juice and olive oil); fresh fruit and veggies with cheese and hummus and homemade chips and salsa; and a killer chocolate tart made of a base of avocados and maple syrup (which, we know, needs to be featured here sometime soon).

Oh, and last thing: In case you’re like me and hearing people answer questions only prompts a series of, you guessed it, new questions, feel free to ask away in the comments. We can’t promise we’ll answer with another video, but we can’t promise we won’t, either.

Congratulations on the one year wedding anniversary AND the upcoming e-book. How exciting!! I’m very old school with books in that I like holding it in my hands and using an actual bookmark but I will make an exception for you. Also thanks for answering my question. I was hoping there was a blog directory or something but I will try to be a little more patient with my Google search to find what I’m looking for.

  12. The fact that I’ve taken so long to come thank you all for these comments is not because they haven’t been important to me; on the contrary, I don’t know what to say but thank you. Each of you — thank you for taking the time to read the post, watch the video and share in our joy over the ebook. It means so much to us!
