Thinkfood Cookbook Giveaway!

****This contest is now CLOSED. You may still comment, but the giveaway is over. Congratulations to Becca, winner of the cookbook!

If you don’t mind my interrupting our regular postings of recipes (and birthday gelato tastings), I’d like to take the opportunity to tell you about a random little cookbook I was a part of—you know, so I can send you a copy.

Oh, and PS: Nashville was great! But I’ve missed cooking. I’ll get back to blogging soon!

  1. Smoothies? Love ‘em and make ‘em for my daughters regularly. Favorite additions include a scoop of peanut butter, nutritional yeast, or finely ground oats.

  2. Probably not the healthiest, but I adore blueberry pancakes!!! I love the look of this cookbook from what you’ve posted – and the concept is fabulous!!! Great giveaway!

  3. Love your blog almost as much as I love blueberries. Which I enjoy in, cereal, yogurt, plain, dipped in chocolate, in a smoothie, in or on ice cream,in pancakes, on waffles, jelly, jam, as dye for Easter eggs, in muffins or scones,…I could go on forever.

  4. oh wow, I’m loving the layout/design of that book, very minimalist/cool.
I would love me a copy girl!
So I love blueberries in my oatmeal (along with almond butter) and i love them in my Heritage flakes cereal…I just love them anyway!
and love your blog, of course.

  5. I am thinking roasted garlic after seeing it pictured. Thanks for linking the blog to facebook, so easy to go to one place for family, friends and foodies!

  6. well. you know i love your blog even if my commenting is rather spotty. so i will tell you my first time trying blueberries. i was in 3rd grade and on a field trip, we were at a park eating lunch when a classmate’s (Leah, who had the prettiest long brown hair) mom took out a container of these deep blue, juicy berries and she divvied them out for everyone at the table. they were sweet and perfectly round, and so incredibly decadent for me because i’d never shared food with anyone before and just seemed so incredibly grown up and american to me. odd i know. but it’s a memory i remember.

anyway, i’d love to win this cookbook. i need brainfood.

  7. on our recent holiday in Maine we ate blueberries every which way. made into wine, a spritzer made out of that wine + seltzer + floating berries, eaten raw, in muffins, in pie and even in a smoothie with ginger, lemon and yogurt. that was a fairly amazing blueberry trip!

    cheers,

    *heather*

  8. Save yourself the time and pressure that comes with making pies and tarts, make blueberry cobbler! Serve with simple vanilla ice cream and feel the warmth of summer ooze from your heart :-) .

  9. How great that this cookbook focuses on brain food! Of course, what’s good for the brain is good for the rest of you, too. I have been buying and freezing blueberries to have them in the winter and have found that a handful of frozen blueberries is the perfect answer to a craving for sweets.

  10. I love to start my day with lightly toasted museli, sprinkled on creamy thick (greek style) yoghurt, swirl in some organic honey, throw in some banana slices or any other fruit I have on hand – berries, kiwis, and then top with a handful of nuts. The texture of the oats and seeds in the museli, combined with sweet freshness of fruits and crunchy nuts – best way to start the day!

  11. Absolutely love smoothies. My favorite are banana & berries and my least favorite is the “surprise” smoothies my youngest son likes to make. There’s no telling what all is in it, but they are awful and I drink them because it makes him happy. I’ve shown him how to make smoothies that people can actually drink, but he is not one to play by the rules, there’s always that secret ingredient…

  12. You and your blog has inspired me to start my own. . . even though it is not official and up yet, I do have a name for it. So stay tuned and watch out for it! I love cookbooks and always looking for another one to put on the shelf!

  13. I’ve been following the PositScience email entries and they’re all so fascinating to me. I have a friend who studies psychology and some neuroscience and we’ve had some great conversations relating my love of food to her love of neuroscience and how they intermingle! Would love to have a copy of this cookbook!

  14. No idea of people from Belgium can compete, but one can only try :) My favorite way to eat blueberries? On a summer morning, when everyone is still asleep, during my running trip in the woods.

  15. Oh..this cookbook looks rad. In other news: I’m happy I found you on Facebook, eager to try those coconut flour cookies you just made, excited for Labor Day weekend. Hope you’re doing really well, my friend. xoxox
